Rick has won seven James Beard Awards, two Emmy Awards, the Julia Child Foundation Award and the Order of the Aztec Eagle, an honor given by the Mexican government to foreigners whose work has benefited the country of Mexico. Rick has competed on Iron Chef and won Top Chef Masters, and he owns over half a dozen restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Topolobampo. His cookbooks include Mexican Everyday, Authentic Mexican and the New York Times bestseller Fiesta at Rick’s. Rick also created and starred in Cascabel, a multimodal theater production about a magical meal.
